Cozy Beats & Creative Bursts 😆 | May 21, 2025
This Week's Highlight
It might be nice and warm where you are as summer is approaching, but here in Bangkok, we’re stepping into the rainy season. I know... I have complained about the heat a lot, but gloomy skies have their own sneaky way of zapping my spark.
So lately, I’ve been combatting the drizzle with lo-fi beats, hot tea, and slow cozy code sessions. The music behind this Code With Me video is the exact playlist I’ve been vibing to: chill, cute, and very rain-day approved.
What Inspires Me
Do you remember Art Attack? That British art show where the host made massive sculptures with everyday objects and encouraged you to make things from scraps around the house? It was by far my most favorite show growing up!
It sparked my love for scrappy, make-it-work creativity. People sometimes ask what kind of art I used to make… this is it. This is where it all started.
I just found this video and I couldn't stop smiling watching it. It hit me right in the nostalgia. Did you grow up watching it too? PVA glue, anyone?
TouchDesigner Bangkok Meetup
I went to a local TouchDesigner meetup last night, and my brain’s still buzzing.
Beyond just visuals, I started seeing TouchDesigner as this modular system builder. You can design a show—with lights, sounds, sensors, everything—and TouchDesigner helps you orchestrate it all in one place. It made me think about how it could tie together so many things I love: visual storytelling, physical spaces, maybe even mechanical interactions. The possibilities feel spacious.
Have you tried it? I’d love to see what you’ve made or stumbled across.
Until next week!
